Graduation day at Little Ladybirds

It was hat’s off to children at Little Ladybirds Day Nursery as they left to begin life in ‘big’ school.

A graduation ceremony was held to mark 31 children leaving from the pre-school at Little Ladybirds.

The nursery bought red gowns and caps for the children to wear for the graduation, as well as giving them ‘rolls of honour’ certificates to commemorate their stay at the nursery.

The ceremony, which included a buffet and refreshments for proud parents, was a major success.

Parents, grandparents and relatives had not been told beforehand that their children would be wearing gowns, so there were plenty of smiles, and even some tears, when their children came out. The children also had a lovely time.

Catherine Mason, Manager of Little Ladybirds, said: “It is always sad when you see children, some of whom have been with us since they were babies, leaving the nursery but we wanted to give them something to remember us by and ensure they were given a great send off.

“The children all really enjoyed putting on the hats and gowns and it was wonderful to see the smiles on the faces of the parents.”
