Halloween fun

Children at Little Ladybirds had a ‘spooktacular’ time celebrating Halloween.

There was a ghostly feeling in the nursery as children, and staff, came dressed up as all manner of ghoulish characters.

There were plenty of littles witches, zombies, bats and monsters and some of the activities included making brains from dough and playing with slimy worms, in the form of coloured spaghetti.

Little Ladybirds Day Nursery Manager Jennifer Thompson said: “This is one of the staff and children’s favourite days of the year and it was great to see so many scary fancy dress costumes.

“The children helped to decorate the nursery and they particularly liked playing with the worm spaghetti.

“As well as being lots of fun there is an educational side to events like this as it teaches them about important dates in the calendar and how and why we mark days like Halloween.”
