Clever Clogs nursery group is the only one in the North East to be named among the top 20 recommended providers in the UK.

We have been included in the top 20 small nursery groups for 2023 by the UK’s leading nursery review website, www.daynurseries.co.uk.

This is based on ratings and comments posted by parents at the Group’s three settings – Clever Clogs Belmont, Clever Clogs Bowburn and Little Ladybirds Day Nursery in Stockton – over a 12-month qualifying period.

The experience of caring for her cousin inspired Felicity Thomas to pursue a full-time career in childcare and now she has the best of both worlds.

After leaving college with a Level 3 in childcare, Felicity cared part-time for her teenage cousin has Down’s Syndrome.

She enjoyed this experience so much that she then applied for her first full-time position as an Early Years Practitioner at Little Ladybirds, starting at the nursery in February 2023.

“Life’s too short”

That was what Debbie Miller’s father said to her before he sadly passed away, and it’s the reason why, 15 years later, she works in childcare.

Until that point, Debbie had had different jobs, including shop work, but pursuing childcare as a career had always been at the back of her mind.
