Our Practitioners – Zoe

“I absolutely love my job.” Not many people are so effusive about what they do for a living, but it could have been very different for Zoe Forrester had she taken a different career path.

That’s because Zoe originally wanted to become nurse and after leaving school was headed in this direction when she began an A-Level in Health and Social Care.

This involved placements in various settings, which included a children’s nursery and as soon as she experienced this, Zoe quickly realised she had found the career for her.

Our Practitioners – Sarah

Sarah Barnfield was working in a factory before deciding she wanted to pursue a more rewarding career.

Having lots of nieces and nephews, she decided that childcare was the job for her and so went to college where she ended up with a Level 2, 3 & 4 in Childcare, as well as a Foundation Degree in Early Years.

She joined Little Ladybirds in 2012 which makes her one of our longest serving members of staff.

Our Practitioners – Miriam

Whether it’s learning sign language, implementing The Curiosity Approach, or writing her own children’s book, Miriam Joyce is constantly pushing herself in her childcare career – and she is still only 25!

Miriam joined Little Ladybirds in May 2021 to take on a brand-new role as our 2-5 Room Leader.

In this role, she straddles between our toddler and pre-school rooms, bringing her experience to bear to support the individual room leaders and staff working in these rooms.
